When block booking occurs among venues in SC,
there is substantial decrease in travel rates
Example:
2 performances in 2 different schools in Anderson district
1 show,1 day School A. Sept 10 and 1 show,1 day School
B. Sept 11
Cost per performance $230 (per school) + Cost of Travel (split between School
A & B) $38
Total Cost for School A = $268 and Total Cost for School B. =
$268
By linking dates in consecutive fashion, School A & B saved $38 (about 10%) on total cost
Contact, communication, and coordination between schools in the same district (or other districts) to arrange consecutive booking days will yield the greatest discounts.
