The show can be performed indoors
or outside. Performance areas should be flat and level. If performed outside on sunny
days, it is recommended the performance be positioned to face the sun while the audience
has the sun to their backs.
Considerations should be made to allow a space at least 10 ft. X 8 ft. for the show with
additional space for the audience. Care should be taken to have the audience seated at
least 6 ft. away from the actual performance area and not right on top of the stage. |
Here is a diagram to give better understanding of
performance area needs:
If the subdivision you live in has
a community, recreation, or pool / tennis facility with a large hall / room, it may be
prudent to reserve it for use. As an alternative outdoor performance area, a driveway,
carport, or multi-car garage (with doors open) will also do.
Adequate lighting for the intended performance area should also be considered if the show
is to be performed indoors. A sound system is provided with the show. Access to an
electrical outlet should not be more than 40 ft. from the intended performance area.
It is always a good idea to have an alternative performance space available indoors when
anticipating an outdoor performance in the event of inclimate weather.
We will provide a carpet ground-mat for audience seating when the performance is scheduled
for outdoors. The mat measures 8 ft X 12 ft. and can seat up to 25 children. The host(s)
will be responsible for additional ground mat coverage (blue tarps or quilts always work
well) and chairs for adults. |
